The rustic Tuscan vibes, rough-rendered chapel, weather-beaten dairy, and century-old oak trees, offer an experience that’s at once glamorous and homespun. The uninterrupted views towards the blue-tinged Great Dividing Range, are the cherry on the icing on the cake of this first-class venue.
Established in 1909, Coombe is considered the gateway to the Yarra Valley. Once the home of Dame Nellie Melba, this seven-acre gem is only 50 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD.
Indulge in the culture and history of this important landmark while sampling their estate-grown wines, relaxing with a platter, wine or gin in their garden terrace, or strolling through the stunning 100-year-old gardens surrounded by 600m of Cyprus hedges.
Another favourite venue of ours is The Farm. This lush winery invites you to give yourselves over completely to the visual and gastronomic feast that they are renowned for. They don’t get many arguments.
There are too many exceptional options to list here but some absolute heroes that deserve a mention are Zonzo Estate, Yarra Ranges Estate in Monbulk, Immerse and Inglewood Estate.
